Indofunk Network Helps to Revitalize Downtown Dover's Entertainment with "Spectacle" Art Show Monthly

Dover, Delaware, Feb. 6, 2007 -- The Indofunk Network (http://indofunk.net) today announced that it will be presenting Spectacle, an art show featuring the work of local artists, on Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 7 PM until 10 PM. The success of Spectacle's premiere in December encouraged the organizers to present the event on a monthly basis. Spectacle will be hosted at Cafe 33 West in downtown Dover and showcase works by photographer Tracy Surguy and illustrator Jeff Toliver. Spectacle is an effort to help revitalize downtown Dover by bringing in a fresh style of entertainment that is traditionally available only in larger metropolitan areas. Cafe 33 West is located at 33 W. Loockerman St. and can be reached at 302.735.9822.

Tracy Surguy, a long time resident of the Dover area and a business owner, has enjoyed a life-long love affair with photography. Inspired by her world travels, including a recent trip across the pond to Ireland, Tracy will be showcasing select pieces from her diverse collection during Spectacle.

Jeff Toliver is a local freelance illustrator and writer. After working with the independent company South Jersey Rebellion as a penciller on the series The Travelers, and doing some pin-up work for Silent Devil Productions, Jeff began collaborating with DKE Studios in Charlotte, NC. As DKE Studios relocates to it's new headquarters in Spain, Jeff continues to reside stateside and has begun work on a new project that he hopes will be picked up by Tokyopop, the leading publisher of manga comics in the US. He is also currently working with a local children's author to create a new series of kids books that will be available near the end of the summer.

Spectacle will feature fresh music selections by Blaze Youngers, focusing on down-tempo, lounge, indie, and other music that doesn't suck.

The Indofunk Network is an auspicious group of local artist allegedly responsible for several socially inspiring events including the Super Machine, a very successful all ages music event which benefited the Delaware Mentoring Council. The network of like-minded people comprising Indofunk are interested in developing the local original music and art scene in the tri-state area of Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The group focuses on promotion, exposure, and enhancement of local musicians by providing recording faculties, graphic and web design, access to traditional media outlets, event advertisement and coverage, and booking assistance.
